Well that’s odd…

We were playing polo up at the usual spot last weekend and Spencer’s brand new drivetrain has some issues. We aren’t sure what your interpretation of “hand tight” is, buddy, but maybe you ought to take it easy…

Actually, we really doubt it was Spencer’s fault, as he’s built a fair few bikes in his day. We blame the Miche rings paired to the IRO hub. The thread pitch seemed ok, but something was definitely off. Oh well, better luck next week?

By the way, anyone who wants to come out to play polo, this weekend we’ll have a mallet building session before play time. Meet at the usual place and bring your own ski pole – we’ll bring the rest!

just was having a quick peek at some specs in the onlines. I couldn’t get a straight answer or any issues on the Miche cog holder vs. others but for the lockring:
    Miche’s lockring is 1.32″ x 24 TPI left-hand thread
    Wheels Manufacturing and Dimension’s lockrings are 1.29″ x 24 TPI left-hand thread. (http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CS307D00-Wheels+Manufacturing+Track+Hub+Lockring.aspx http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CS308D00-Dimension+Track+Logring.aspx)
    hmm… ?
